Molly, known for her unflagging optimism and constant cheeriness, is thrilled to win an all-expenses paid vacation to Mauritius. She packs her camera and a few colourful bikinis and can’t wait to have some fun in the sun. Little does she know there’s a catch.

Adam is a journalist on assignment and his mission is to test Molly’s optimism and see how far she can be pushed before she breaks. Surely it can’t be that hard?

What happens when Molly meets the hilariously cantankerous Adam and finds that she can’t seem to shake him? How will Adam successfully complete his task when faced with Molly’s beautiful smile, quick wit and curvaceous body?

As they bicker their way around the island, Adam and Molly realise that there’s more to each other than meets the eye. An unexpected friendship develops between them which soon turns into much more. But what will happen when Molly learns the truth behind Adam’s trip to Mauritius?

A heartfelt, funny and touching story about life, love, and happiness.

What does TWG think?

‘Stuck with Me’ is the type of novel that is ideal for reading when you need a change in genre. You know what I’m meaning; you’ve read too many crime thrillers or sci-fi and you’re wanting a completely different style book to wet your bookworm appetite. An amuse-bouche if you will. Now, I am a huge fan of romance novels and comedy novels and I couldn’t even begin to tell you exactly how many of those genre of books I have read in total. So when Ms.Piat’s novel got brought to my attention, I ummed and ahhed about reading it, as the cover didn’t really do anything for me, but the setting of the storyline did. I had never read a book that was set in Mauritius before and my interest was piqued. Hell, I had never been to Mauritius before on holiday so of course I was going to take the journey via Ms.Piat.

Overall the storyline was light-hearted, fun and pretty nice. Yes, it did contain a few deep circumstances but they weren’t approached in a heavy enough way to rid the book of its light hearted feel. For me though, whilst the storyline made me chuckle and provided me with just enough entertainment, I couldn’t find anything to sink my teeth into in terms of depth. But that’s just me.

‘Stuck with Me’ is your ideal holiday read whether that’s laying on a sun lounger topping up your tan reading it, or reading it on your way to your holiday destination. It’s fun, predictable yet full of sunshine due to Cassandra’s light-hearted approach to writing. If you want a book where you don’t have to think and can be as mellow as you wish, then this is most definitely the book for you.
