#BlogTour! #Review – Time Will Tell by Eva Jordan (@EvaJordanWriter) @UrbaneBooks #LoveBooksGroupTours

Being personally requested by the author to take part in their blog your made my day, so thank you to Eva Jordan for wanting me involved, and thank you to LoveBooksGroup for making it happen and the ARC. I am very excited to be sharing my review of Eva Jordan’s new book for my stop on the tour. Enjoy!

Writer, Lizzie Lemalf, and her loving but somewhat dysfunctional family are still grieving over the loss of a much-loved family member. Lizzie is doing her best to keep her family together but why does the recent death of a well-known celebrity have them all in a spin? The police suspect foul play; Lizzie and other family members suspect one another. Lizzie begins searching for answers only to find herself being dragged back to the past, to 1960’s London to be exact, and to the former life of her father, that up until now she has never been privy to. Every family has its secrets but how can the past hold the key to a present day celebrity death..

What does TWG think?

Wow. I really will be impressed with myself if I manage to put together a review which is somewhat coherant! ‘Time Will Tell’ is extraordinary. It’s gritty. It’s dark. It’s suspenseful. It’s romantic. It’s emotional. It is a readers dream, putting it mildly.

What I absolutely loved most about this book was how, as readers, we  are transported back to way back when before the main characters were born. We get to see how Lizzie’s parents became just that; her parents, during a gangster and unlawful time in London. Things were hard for her parents and other family members, and the subjects raised throughout this book are not for the faint hearted at all, but they need to be spoken about.

Every single page had me hooked, with many questions regarding certain events, urging to slip off the end of my tongue. Did I suspect who would end up in the firing line? Not a chance! I had absolutely no idea how everything would conclude,  whether that is ignorance on my part or due to the fact that I was gripped by multiple character flaws, unspoken tribulations or fragile emotions, I really couldn’t say. Although my gut instinct certainly points to the latter!

Eva Jordan  hasn’t written a story about one topic and that’s the end of it; she has written a book which delivered such immense beauty and poignant fragility, telling the story of lives lost, relationships severed, all tied up with the strength of two words – time and love.

I finished this book with tears rolling down my cheeks and to be homest, I really couldn’t have wished for a better reaction from my own self. I adored Eva Jordan’s phenomenal story telling, and I loved being wrapped up in the love of some truly  beautiful characters. A simply stunning, emotional, and beautifully crafted read which is on the radar to becoming one of my top reads of 2019. My heart is full with love for this book in its entirety!
