What does TWG think?
You don’t have to be like Craig Revel Horwood to realise that this book might have SLIGHT hint of a popular Saturday night TV show waltzing through it! After all, you know you have found THE perfect relationship when both of you sit on the edge of your seats, rating the celebrity dancers on the TV. Match made in heaven or a perfect ten! But is it though? What about when your dancer husband invites another professional dancer to stay in your marital home, without consulting you first, or letting you know that…oh I don’t know, the dancer has two glitter balls attached to its chest? Is that a perfect ten? Or will the strictly curse strike again?Laura and Tom have such a ‘comfortable’ relationship, they have their routine and are full aware of each others likes and dislikes. To be honest, they should do, after all, they’re married! I gelled with them both straight away because of how ‘real’ their characters come across as. People do sit at home rating the Strictly dancers, and now, thanks to Tracy’s book, I’m sure a lot more people will be proud that they do!
I think that it’s such a cleverly written book as it incorporates the essence of such a popular TV show, with a modern day relationship. As the storyline progresses, Laura and Tom’s own story takes over from Strictly and we get to learn more about their lives, as well as the lives of the people close to them. There are definitely a few colourful characters in this book, especially with one or two being a tad like marmite.
Not only does ‘Strictly My Husband’ have the dance factor, the hilarious one liners and sarcasm, in my opinion, override that completely. Absolutely hilarious, this book is definitely laugh out loud worthy. However, I did find parts of the storyline to not flow as well as some other parts did. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed read it overall!
‘Strictly My Husband’ was the first book that I had read of Tracy’s, I had heard she was funny, but I didn’t realise how dry her humour would be. She manages to add on point humour to an otherwise difficult situation whilst adding the fun factor the book (aside from strictly, obviously).
‘Strictly My Husband’ is such a fun, vibrant and unforgettable read that will have you picking up your dance shoes quicker than you can say Darcy Bussell! If you were against emphasising your bits and bobs in fuchsia pink lycra, Tracy Bloom will make you think otherwise with ‘Strictly My Husband’!

This book looks great. Love Strictly and I was quite taken by Gleb from last year his good looks and accent were enough to make your heart flutter!
